Morrowind Modding Showcases – Vanilla Land

Today for Morrowind Modding Showcases, we have a special episode taking a look at Vanilla Land By Otis_Geo, Tyddy and Lougian, an impressive new landscape texture replacer that covers all of the land, ground, and most of the terrain rock textures in the base game, as well as Solstheim. Designed to fit in well with not only more vanilla-styled setups, but also with mods like Tamriel Rebuilt, Vanilla Land offers beautiful 2k resolution replacers that stay true to the original style and color-scheme of Morrowind, while offering a better visual experience for when you’re exploring around Vvardenfell and Solstheim.

Morrowind Modding Showcases – Fablewind Bowerstone City Update

Today for Morrowind Modding Showcases, we’re taking another in-development look at Fablewind by Tel Shadow, this time around the cities of Bowerstone and Brightlodge, added just in the last week in a number of major updates. For those curious, Fablewind is a project that’s looking to bring the realm of Albion from the Fable series to the game-world of Morrowind, using only vanilla Morrowind assets to create a more open-world vision of this famed role-playing game series. Originally released in mid August, the project has already added nearly a dozen different zones and regions from the Fable game, including new dungeons, dozens of hostile opponents to face and fight through, and beautiful new cities to explore. Without question, this is one of the most exciting new landmass mods to come out in 2018, and as development continues, it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on!

Please note, Tel Shadow is looking for help on the project, specifically interior modders to help build city interiors. If you’re at all interested in lending a hand with this impressive project, you’ll find a recruitment thread in the Fablewind Forums on the Nexus Download Page.

Morrowind Modding Madness – Season 3

Four weeks, two themes, two mods, only one team of modders will rise up to claim the throne as the ultimate modding champions of 2018! Madness has returned for a third year in a row, our Lord Sheogorath still craves to be sated, and only an entire month dedicated to intense insanity driven challenges can possibly quench his unending thirst! To satisfy our Lord Sheogorath, Morrowind Modding Madness has been proclaimed anew, starting October 1st and going through to October 31st where modders form teams, compete and vanquish challenges, and rise through the ranks to become the ultimate modding champions of 2018 with all the sweet prizes that entails!

Once again modders will be called upon to face their fellow modders in mod on mod, gladiatorial creativity, the likes of which can only be driven by that Lord of Madness himself! Another day, another Doug for the arena!

With that out of the way, let’s introduce the 2018 Morrowind Modding Madness competition, a team-based competition in the vein of our annual Morrowind Modathons, but with a twist where modders have to form teams and face bi-weekly modding challenges by coming up with, designing, and releasing an entire mod in only two week’s time to make it to the top by Halloween (October 31st)

Now a full list of competition details is available at one of the following locations, and you can also register your modding teams while you’re there, but remember to make sure they know they’re on your team! A modding team can be composed of between two and four modders! Best of luck to all contestants, the competition officially starts on October 1st!
