Morrowind Modathon – Trainer Variety

For our eighth random drawing winner of Morrowind Modathon 2015, we’re taking a look at Trainer Variety, a mod that makes finding trainers a lot easier by changing some 250 preexisting NPCs to offer trainer services, including a lot of skill trainers for particularly under-utilized skills like Spear and Mercantile, which had almost no trainers in the vanilla game.

Trainer Variety was released by Tizzo on May 21st as part of the Morrowind May Modathon 2015 competition, and it’s one of three random drawing winners for the third week of May. All winners of Morrowind Modathon get free games, trailers and independent showcases of their mods on Morrowind Modding Showcases!

Tamriel Rebuilt – Mephalain Mountains Trailer

The Mephalain Mountains of eastern Morrowind, a rugged and rough landscape of jagged mountain peaks, peaceful meandering streams, and shadowed valleys acts as the unofficial border between the lands of Great House Telvanni and Great House Indoril. Sparsely settled but home to more than a few ruins hugging the cliffside, the Mephalain Mountains are a rich and diverse environment, full of scenic beauty, from trickling waterfalls to hidden shrines and ancient chasms spanned by rickety old bridges.

The dominant settlement in the region is the city of Akamora, home to dozens of shops, residences, and taverns. Built right into the mountain-side, Akamora is best known for its resounding beauty and quaint cliffside streets. Far from the only settlement though, mountaintop Indoril towers and manors can be found spread through out the entire region, often offering superb views of the surrounding areas. Not just a region of scenic views, however, the Mephalain Mountains are home to a number of dangerous elements, from roadside bandits to Daedric cultists, and many mysteries lurk in the hidden valleys of this seemingly peaceful mountain range. The ancient ruins of the city of Dun Akafell are rumored to be found here, and the Valley of Mephala lies hidden in a perpetual veil of fog and shadow, full of unpleasant dangers for any who would disturb the Queen of Murder.

Tamriel Rebuilt released the Mephalain Mountains region as a part of Map 3 and included in the latest update back in August of 2014. This region is already pretty much completed, with interiors, dungeons, NPCs, and even a few quests in place. Still, if you want to help out with this massive project and contribute to one of the oldest continuously worked on mod projects in Morrowind’s history, why not head over to their website and join the team today?

You can download Tamriel Rebuilt’s latest release here, and check out their YouTube channel here.
