Ashfront - Bitter Coast is an overhaul of the entirety of the Bitter Coast region, drawing on prerelease concepts of a Vvardenfell without conventional trees, instead transforming the landscape into one more reminiscent of prehistoric fern forests. Here the native Dunmeri fishing culture dwindles in the face of foreign occupation and House settlement, with Seyda Neen, Gnaar Mok, and Hla Oad all receiving overhauls to reflect this class divide. Expanding on the familiar mycology of the region, a unique breed, the Netch Parasol, has adapted to thrive in the brackish waters of the coast, as well as a smaller breed of oversized mushroom.
Greater detail has been given to many minor locations, and new points of interest added both above ground and underwater, namely around the lost Shrine of Boethiah. Khartag Point has also received an overhaul, giving the landmark an appearance more worthy of its renown. Inspired by Remiros’ original mod, the “ashen divide” between southern and western portions of the region has also been given an overhaul as a burnt portion of fern forest.
Released as part of the Ashfront project, an effort to diversify the environs of Vvardenfell in a vanilla-friendly fashion through expansion of existing themes, implementation of prerelease concepts, improved detailing, and addition of points of interest.
World Edits:
Makes extensive edits to the entirety of the Bitter Coast region, including overhauls of towns and villages, as well as landscape edits to some 66 terrain cells.
Also includes overhauls of the interiors for Seyda Neen, Hla Oad, and Gnaar Mok.
Other Notes:
Confirmed compatible with OAAB Shipwrecks.
Will likely conflict with most other mods in the Bitter Coast Region.
