Progress: Modder Claim Finished!


Hello, Matt here (MatthewTheBagel on nexus) I'd like to claim plot 45. I plan on building something (not sure yet) maybe Velothi, but I plan on adding a quest to, as well as my persona, and other NPC's to interact with and learn about ModTown by. Hope this is approved, look forward to building, Thanks!

EDIT; Here is what the plot will include;
- 3 buildings
- Exterior space as a garden
- My avatar; Matt The Bagel.
- Many of Bagel's Slaves, like Shwizzle the gardener.
- A whole new realm entered via portal
- New interiotrs; A Bar; The Dazed Guar Tavern, in this realm, as well as a Bath/pool area.
- The Realm's exterior space is an island paradise
- A Shack in the garden, with a sink hole in it that leads to a cavern full of a Daedric group.
- This sink hole contains a "Daedric Refuge" as well as a small bar area where the daedra hang out, and a housepod where a telvanni wizard lives.
- Much more!

 The plot is a Common Architectural style, with 3 buildings, a garden, quests, 13+ interiors, a new realm, and much more.

Great! Thank you! And I am going to be a building a common and/or a Nord house with a garden aspect in the plot with 2 buildings, and lots of Misc. NPC's like my first Morrowind characters, etc. There's going to be some small quests too :)

Thanks Melchior, appreciate it! Also, I'm planning on getting some screenshots and an update out soon. I'm actually getting a new computer, so expect updates around next week. So far the Homestead has a garden, some quests, and the main building's interior is filled with decor, so i'd say that is done. I still have much more, and am planning to do much more, however. It's going good :)

Hello, so, I'm trying to attach my first image of my mod plot but I keep getting "The upload folder is full. Please try a smaller file and/or contact an administrator." How should I go about putting my pictures on here?

I use an external upload image site, mostly this. http://postimage.org/

Then I copy "Thumbnail for Forums (1)," and then with a few more images, I post.

Yeah, I think that the file size limit for whatever host Darkelfguy is using must be full. I haven't been able to attach files for a while... makes it tricky for people to post finished claims, so I hope DEG can address it soon.

Addition to the images of my plot above, I will be explaining it and giving an update. Also thank you to those who helped me with how to upload those images, lol.

Bagel's ModTown plot 45

My plot, aka Bagel's Homestead will include the following;

Exterior space (GARDEN)-
The exterior of my plot will include a garden, with gardener slaves, many herbs, sitting areas, table, etc. This exterior space also includes two buildings; Slave Quarters, and Bagel's Homestead.

Bagel's Homestead (interior 1)-
This interior includes 2 floors, one with a dining area, sitting area, much decor, lots of booze, and access to the basement. The top floor includes bed, desk, decor, items, NPCs, and quests, etc. The top floor is the living space of Bagel.


Slave Quarters (Interior 2)- This interior is where the slaves reside. This includes a dining room/kitchen, skooma room, lower floor with beds, storage and table(s). And access to the basement.


Bagel's Basement (interior 3) - This interior space is a basement that runs underneath both buildings and the homestead. It includes a main hall, with a main room, and a locked room. There will be storage and 'other' things within..

QUESTS; - So far I have added 4 quests (nothing big), planning more (maybe).

To sum it up I have been making pretty decent progress, but keep in mind it is not finished. Also, feedback would be appreciated. If I could improve on anything let me know  :D

Wow! It reminds me of Turkey! (The country, not the animal). While I do see a seam between a wall and the floor it is nice job as it is!

Update 2

So I have added a couple things, like more clutter in the basement, more decor, and some other things.

This is the Smoking den. Second room in the Slave's Quarters on the Homestead. All the Khajiit come here after their shift to get higher than a cliffracer. There's skooma, trippy books, bottles, and tons of lounging cushions. Theres also a note to show how some of the slaves slack off in here. The Shrooms growing on the wall represent the drug activities that go on here. Plus it looks cool, especially with the Shelf fungi as actual shelves.

Thanks Melchior. The latest thing in my plot is a new shack interior, but I'm going to have a sink hole in the middle of two interior endcap pieces. There's going to be a large fall, kind of like Dippy Doroggs fall-'thingy'. You will fall into the sink hole, and it will have a large cave at the bottom, where you fall into water. I'm thinking about letting my mind run loose down there and see what that cave turns into.

Here's the sink-hole. It's not done yet, theres a few errors that must be fixed. I'm trying to make it look as natural as possible.

UPDATE; I made the sink hole look way more natural, and below I'm going to put the "Secret Society of Souls". A bunch of 6th house/Deadra inhabitants. There's a daedric statue with red lanterns hanging from it, and a central bar with an overlooking mushroom, with more lanterns hanging from it. Theres also a main statue of vivec, but the head has been replaced with a Deadra shrine head, and it has 3 arms, one with an axe. There's also NoPickUp daedric swords stabbing the statue. That's what Ive been working on

Bagel's ModTown plot 45 Update; Secret Society of Souls

So, lately on my plot as you may know I have been working on a new interior. It's a shack next to the slaves quarters. It's a very small space BUT.. there is a sink hole in the floor that leads down to "The Secret Society of Souls", a group of Deadra/Ash creatures. There's a bar, an interior (working on more), and some daeedric statues. There's also a statue of Vivec, with a daedric twist. Around this cave, there are roots and fungus growths, so the statue of Vivec is surrounded by these.

Keep in mind, I'm not even close to being halfway done with this cell. Plus the lighting is off, imo.

The "Backstory" is that a bunch of daedra/ashlandic creatures refuge here, and are given shelter by Bagel. It's his little secret. It's not supposed to be lore friendly or any masterful idea, but it works.

Ooh, I like that idea about the Telvanni Mage. I might put a mage in there, I mean, somebodies gotta keep them in line, they are daedra/other after all.

Oh man, the sinkhole area is awesome! The replacement of Vivec's head with Boethiah's is a particularly nice touch. ;)

I'm working on a new interior (where these creatures will sleep/live), and would I be able to use the "MT15_crea_dremora_horn" for a dremora NPC? of course it will use a new ID, but He's going to be the main brute dremora and he'll give you a quest and I think he would look more unique with horns. It's used in the Tower in Baelgon, which I'm sure you worked on?

Thanks for the offer, Melchior. If you wanted the horned dremora for the Tower of Baelgon to be unique, then I would be fine using an alternative.

I have also been thinking that there could be a unique dremora in this room;

This room is in the basement, and can only be opened with a key. The story I have been tossing around is that the Dremora in the sinkhole have gone far enough to capture/kill Bagel's innocent slaves, without him knowing (hence the reason why there's a dead khajiit in here.) You will encounter a dremora in this room that has been doing just that, and once you speak to him, you will find a trapdoor leading to a cave that leads to the Sinkhole (meaning the dremora must have dug a cave into Bagel's homestead and are now killing off and sacrificing his slaves). Bagel doesn't know about this and you will tell him and more events will occur.

So what I was thinking is that this unique Dremora you encounter in the basement will be wearing only pants, so no armor. And maybe some special facial or hair features. If you still wanted to, you would be able to make that, or if not I could just use a default Dremora.

Thank you! The NPC's here refer it as sort of a "paradise", so i'm glad it seems tranquil to you, because that's what I was going for. A place away from the hard Vvardenfell life. Also, this screenshot was taken days ago, but I have added a bar to go to also, to get a drink, and there's even a table by the shore to watch the waves roll in, and chill.

Plot 45 Update; Bagel's Realm

My latest addition to my homestead in ModTown, plot 45 is a new realm.
"Bagel's Realm" (Also, I used the sand island piece from the SASS man, but it's just a base, so I think it doesn't matter too much.)

Here's the realm;

You enter this realm via a portal in Bagel's Homestead, and the portal will take you to the bath/pool area. This area will have (obviously) a pool, and a changing room and some NPC's. There will be a door that leads you to the exterior (It's actually an interior, it just acts as an ex.) This exterior is an island that contains; NPC's, including the "Valkyrie's of Bagel (guards), and others. It also contains; a main power crystal, a bar (The Dazed Guar Tavern), beach areas, a small shrine, and a market area with three small shops/stands. There will also be a quest involving two argonians and ones hatch-day. You will have to go on an egg-hunt across the island.

this is the power crystal. It glows really nicely at night. The story is that Bagel wanted more; so Aloros and him created a new realm. It's powered by that crystal, and the Valkyries of Bagel protect it, leaded by Brisk (The main high Elf in the photo).

This is the market area. It looks great at night (well, the whole realm does).

Here's the Dazed Guar Tavern (the mournhold styled building in the 1st photo). This Tavern is hosted by Kyte, a High Elf. There's also a talking Guar; Disko, in the 2nd floor.  ;)

It's a dark image, but the island glows at night, especially the Power Crystal. Looks prett cool.

Oh, and there will be netch loating about. It makes it look so.. majestic.

That would be a really fun and cool feature, but scripting-wise, I wouldn't know how to pull that off. I could see it as you hit it, and maybe once you hit it enough it would teleport you back in Mundus, and the portal to the realm would be gone, and all the NPC's would hate/ttry to kill the PC. I like the idea though, I just don't know how to script that.

Alright Autoclock, here's the file. The power crystal is in the cell; "ModTown 2015, Bagel's Realm".

I was thinking once you hit the crystal enough, you are teleported from where you enter the realm, but the portal is broken, and then I'll make my avatar speak to the PC, and everyone in the homestead will become hostile (maybe).

From the Cell "ModTown 2015, Bagel's Homestead". The portal to the realm is on the second floor, to the right of my avatar.  The portal teleports you to the Bath area, from there you can leave this bath area and go into the exterior (actually an int.) itself.

What do you think of the idea that the crystal fell from space a long time ago and someone drug it up out of the ocean? It would be partially stuck inside a rock, with some seashells on it and whatnot.

I like it! Looks awesome, autoclock. Do you think you could add more of those long crystal spikes jutting out from the other side? (If it's not too much to ask). Other than that, it looks fantastic!

You just walk up and hit the thing until it dies, and then you get transported back to the Homestead. Might take awhile, as I gave it 1000 HP, since you're not really supposed to kill it.

Alright, I tested it in game and everything works fine (Although I accidentally pulled it too low, so It went under the earth, but I fixed that). The crystal itself looks amazing, and I really like how when you damage the crystal, there are different particle effects, it works very nicely. I have one question however. How would I edit the script to make it so that when the death of the crystal occurs, not only does the pc get teleported, but the Door to the realm gets disabled (So you cannot enter the realm after)?

Alright, there's a couple of problems with the files:
First, I'm not sure whats the proper term for it is, but the land pieces you used for the island seems to have many places where you can see the end of the model, where you can visably see nothing below the texture. Second, I encountered a rouge pillar who was sinking down into the floor inside of the slave's house, down the stairs. Then when I try talking to the bartender in your Secret Souls society, errors occur. Lastly, one of the rugs inside of the pod that's found in the SS's base is clipping through the floor.

Okay, I have fixed all the errors you have found, besides the textures ending. In my game, the end of the texture is covered by rocks. This goes for every seam, not just the one in the image.

I do not know why the rocks aren't there in your game, odd..

hmm, weird. The first one is actually the ID of a quest, I believe I fixed the error there. The others were just random mistakes I made, but they are fixed now. And about the imgur image, I believe Lefok had a similar issue. Maybe my rocks are shaped differently? I have no mods that would do that though, although I am running MGSO. Anyway, I added more rocks to that area where I think they needed to b to make it work.
