Yes anyone working on Modtown can have something said by my NPC.She's a Teen Dunmer, and we all know how teens love to gab. Certainly I;ll use what you submit for her tyo say about you as a modder, or even just your typical player character if you role-play like I do. If you want you can even submit something about any projects you have been working on. The NPC is a scout which means one never knows what kind of information she might have.

Yes that is exactly who she is talking about. I noticed him, and his hole when I first Dled the land mass file, and wandered around looking at things that maybe might be interesting to work on. I expect he will be a rather interesting character indeed.

I was test playing my plot to day making sure that every thing works as intended when while doing one of the quests given by my Avatar, one of the creatures he asks you to kill had a book in it's inventory that I never added to the plot. Did somebody add this book? I'm just curious about it. If it helps the creature that has the book in it's inventory was unique goblin chief that I made for the quest.

Hmm maybe it's not from ModTown. The book has an ID  of "YAC_FTD_HasScript" and when loaded up with all of the masters reliant to my plot the book does not show up in the CS. The think is the only mod I've installed since I started working on the plot is updates to the ModTown Master file. Now I'm curious what mod I installed since the last time I played through Tribunal, as it is a Unique Goblin Chief I made for the Plot that has it showing up. The book didn't show up until yesterday though,a nd me not installing any other mods since starting my work on the plot had me assuming it was added by a modder working on the project. I retract my question as it is not added by any mods merged into ModTown.esm

Okay, if it's puzzling you, it sometimes works to set it down, open the console and click on it and type the ORI command. It SHOULD show what plugin or master file it's from... doesn't always seem to do what I want though.

I did a usually foolish thing,and assumed by the ID that it was from a Yacoby mod. The two I have in my load list didn't really seem the types to add books to the game, but I found it in Yacoby's Pursuit Enhanced. Odd though that I've been using that mod for years,and never have come across the book.

EDIT: in my confusion about the book I forgot the real important thing though, and that is:
1) More dialog implemented. Bringing dialog to about maybe 73%-ish
2) one more mini-questish type thingy added bringing quest completion for my plot to about ??%-ish
3 New unique reward thingy added for the for mentioned quest. also bringing that total to ??%-ish


No further progress has been made in decorating the house interior. The placing of clutter type things seems to be hitting me like writing readmes. I'm just not terribly enthusiastic about it.

Getting close to the home stretch here, and I feel like I'm gonna cut it close. Any way I've got some more things placed as clutter, but not nearly enough to warrant all of the shelves, and containers in the house. Also some more work has been done on the cavern part of the plot, but I'm feeling like this to is going to take me right up to the end also. I've also made some more things for the plot, and one of them needs a video. Probably make one tomorrow, and link it up here. New textures for some of the stuff I've got in the plot, but those may not make it in time. All I can say is I'm working as much as my free time allows on things spanning from clutter (hard to clutter up the place nicely with an Avatar for a guy that does not drink  *meaning not a whole lot of empty bottles strewn about the place*) to dialog, and possibly a few more quests if I can decide on what to do for the NPCs. Also who do I communicate with to arrange for the Dues collection quest to make it if a certain one of my Avatar's mini-quests hasn't been done, my Avatar refuses to pay his dues unless, or until that particular quest is finished?

Good question on the Dues. Will probably need to coordinate with Turelek since they've got the Community Consortium. I imagine that even if you just give your avatar a "Dues" topic for the time being that should be enough of a hook in. And then Turelek can just reference whatever global you choose to use to verify if it's been paid.

Well maybe if I give the avatar the dues topic, and filter for him to only pay the dues if the journal entry for the quest is set to the end of the quest, other wise if the journal entry is set to less then the quest being finished then have the avatar say something like "You have not done this thing I asked you to do, so no I will not give you the dues for the money till you do it. Of course I have not put any globals, or even locals in my plot, just using the basic dialog/journal combination to get my quests out.  Also if the greeting that has the topic that starts the quest has not come up then the play may not even have the quest mentioned to them, so perhaps have a third option that if the quest has not even been given, my avatar can say something like "I'd sure like to give you the dies, but I've got something n my mind at the present point in time. I'll tell you what, you go do this one small thing for me, and I'll pay you the dues, as well as a little bit for yourself. I'll try to figure out what exactly will have to be done, on the matter. Maybe there wil need to be a global to determain who has paid the dues when the player has visited all of the modders plots, but I'm no good at scripting, so I'm not the guy to know such things.

Alright, I must know how to create simple animations like this. Are you using a tutorial? I messed around with Arcimaestro Antares NPC animation tutorial a while ago, but I've forgotten everything.

Yes I do have a nice basic animation tutorial I snagged off of youtube. Same one I used on the French doors in my claim interior basement, and the Tri-demensional Chess set case on the table next to the couches on the main floor of the house. But the tutorial does not cover labeling key frames in the animation, that needs to be done in order to get the animations to play when you click on the item. For that I peeked at the workings of the animated containers, the display cases from Indigo, and Dongle (while I was making the glass portions of the display cases all shiny, and pretty looking). I'll look around for the youtube page that covers simple animations, and get the link for you some time in the morning (maybe early afternoon) hours tomorrow, and post a link for you. The tutorial covers an older version of Blender if you've got that, but it works with 2.49b (which is the blender I use for my MW modeling).
I also looked at AA's NPC animation tut, and decided that I'm not quite ready for that yet. Close, but not quite. My messing with Blender started back around 2009 when I wanted to create a playable Minotaur race, and there was not anything quite what I wanted available. At any rate I got distracted a lot in the name of improving my skills, but never got comfortable enough with mesh making yet to attempt it. I did alter the Almalexia's Hands curass for some one once about mid-ish 2013, but after that not much has been accomplished by me in that area.



EDIT: This is the tutorial I have. Kiteflyer61, and myself were discussing this before GHF lost it's old chat client (site closed down on us), and I seemed to remember him mentioning that he was going to upload the tutorial to MMH.

Thank you for the info, Drakk! I'll start poking around with this. I'm trying to think of what I'd want to animate now... might just have to make something random to test it out. If I run into issues with the keyframe bit, I'll do some comparisons with the animated containers too.

Thank you. I can not take credit for the couches though they came from Xeon's comfortable couches resource. There are a few others that come from resourced too, but most of the new unique items in the plot are mine. If you want I can give links to the other resources that I've used. Again Thank you for the compliment on the things I have created for this. Your claim is also looking like a comfortable place to hang out too.
