Morrowind Modding Showcases brings you 13 new mods every week for your viewing pleasure! This is our core-show, and you can expect a themed episode every-other week.

Morrowind Mod of the Month – August 2015

Today we have the fourth episode of our Mod of the Month series, a little late, but still celebrating the best mods from August 2015. The idea behind this series is to release a video every month honoring the best mods released in that particular month, as decided by popular vote and also in part by my own personal decisions.

You can vote for the Mod of the Month for September here.

Our mod of the month for August 2015 is Clear Your Name by Lucevar, a simple but very well made mod that’s positively fantastic for immersion and role-playing purposes. It adds a new NPC, the famed corrupt magistrate in Balmora, as a new option to get rid of any bounties you might have. In addition, House Telvanni and House Hlaalu players have new services where they can go to get their bounties fixed.

Second choice for mod of the month is One True Faith – Saints and Frescoes Retexture by Tyddy, a lovely retexture mod that completely changes and updates the textures for the frescoes and shrines on the Dunmer Temple, adding high-resolution and absolutely beautiful looking art that perfectly match the feel and theme of the Tribunal Temple.

Finally, our third choice for mod of the month is Lightning Ghost Fence Hi Res by Openglcg, a complete retexture for the ghost fence that surrounds Red Mountain, replacing the old and somewhat ugly blue forcefield of before with a new and fairly dynamic looking field of lightning bolts that provides a cool looking and mystical feeling barrier to Red Mountain.

Morrowind Top 10 Quest Mods

As requested, for our third episode of Top Ten Morrowind Mods, we’re looking at the top ten quest mods made for Morrowind. Many of these will be familiar to you if you’ve watched Morrowind Modding Showcases, and it must be stressed that the orderings of these mods really doesn’t matter that much, they’re all great mods that are worth playing. You’ll also notice that a lot of quest mods are missing from this list. Due to Morrowind’s over 1200 quest mods, it was impossible to cover every great quest mod in a single top ten list, so we’ll actually be releasing a second episode with a top ten small quest mods to sort of supplement these larger epic quest mods that we’ve included here. But in any event, do feel free to share your own favorite quest mods in the comments down below!

Morrowind Mod of the Month – June 2015

Today we’re unveiling the second episode of our Mod of the Month series, over a month late, but celebrating the best mod from June 2015. The idea behind this series is to release a video every month honoring the best mods released in that particular month, and in the future, this will be decided entirely by popular vote.

You can vote for the Mod of the Month for July here.

Our mod of the month for June 2015 is Blades Safe House by Lythoc. A technically impressive house mod, Blades Safe House takes a building that previously had no purpose and provides it with a new function, as the secret entrance to your new lair, home to a variety of creative contraptions, from an elevator to a massive library with a unique book sorter, and a display hall for armor where each armor piece will dance out of your inventory and magically fly into place on a nearby mannequin. Providing all of the typical house mod staples, such as display and storage space, a teleport spell, and a handful of other services, Blades Safe House stands out with its armor and book sorters as something entirely unique and definitely worth checking out.

Morrowind Modathon – The Lucky Pick

In the back-ash city of Maar Gan, a Bosmer has something to trade, a special pick-axe that can point you to mysterious treasures all over Vvardenfell. Not only that, but as you use this mysterious pick axe and find treasure, the items you’ll find will gradually become more valuable over time. Soon you can fill your coffers, but only if you follow the pick axe from one end of Vvardenfell to the next!

The Lucky Pick was released by Danjb on May 29th as part of the Morrowind May Modathon 2015 competition, and it’s one of three random drawing winners for the last week of May. Morrowind Modathon – Arkngthand 2.0

One of the most prominent and best known dungeons in Morrowind is the Dwemer citadel of Arkngthand, an ancient ruin that has bested even the most well equipped players trying to find that blasted Dwemer Puzzle Box. Well, no more! With Arkngthand 2.0, this Dwemer fortress has been reborn with a new, much more detailed layout that more logically places certain important quest items. Not only that, but it also adds in new dwemer equipment, expands the dungeon slightly with new paths and chambers, and vastly re-arranges the rooms of old Arkngthand so even experienced players will find something new to explore.

Arkngthand 2.0 was released by Ragox on May 24th as part of the Morrowind May Modathon 2015 competition, and it’s one of three random drawing winners for the last week of May. All winners of Morrowind Modathon get free games, trailers and independent showcases of their mods on Morrowind Modding Showcases!
