Recently, there’s been a lot of trouble in the modding community, paid mods have torn the community apart, and things are looking pretty bad right now with all the anger and hate. Today we’re taking some time from our typical video-schedule to talk about what modding is really all about, and why even in the midst of all this madness, you should keep making mods in 2015 and beyond, no matter what game you’re making them for or what they consist of! Because at the end of the day, modding is about sharing and having fun!
Share your stories and appreciation of mods on Twitter today by using the hashtag “ILoveModding”, and let’s remember all of the positivity and creativity that’s come out of modding and look towards a brighter future!
May making mods remain forever free, as it is already in Resdayn!
In this week’s interview we’re talking with Scamp, project developer and head of exteriors with Province: Cyrodiil and also Skyrim – Home of the Nords, both of which are massive province mods that have recently come under the same banner during the recent province union.
During this interview, we discuss the recent progress at Province: Cyrodiil (including when we might see a new release), as well as the work that Scamp has done for Tamriel Rebuilt in the past, and the recent Province Union with Project Tamriel that has brought Skyrim, Cyrodiil, Elsweyr, and High Rock under the same banner.
A full list of projects that Scamp is working on is included below: Scamp’s Blog
Its been a long time coming, but we’re finally getting the website for Morrowind Modding Showcases online. Right now a lot of things are still being organized and constructed, so you can expect a number of changes in the future. Currently you can find a link to our YouTube channel up on the page bar, as well as links to our Tumblr account, Abot’s mod list, and our Morrowind Screenshots gallery (including over 500 screenshots).
Keep in mind the image gallery is still largely unorganized and it will take a while to get everything properly tagged. You can also upload your own screenshots to the gallery if you so desire.
Eventually we’ll also be setting up a small forum board for mod discussion where we can take requests to feature particular mods in the show. Not to mention, we also have an experimental mod conflict database in early alpha stages, and hopefully we’ll be able to get that online one of these days as well.
